Revision 3 - Two Page Article

Again, I am still figuring out the colors, but I changed the article to a purple color and I like it for the most part, but I'm not sure if I'll stick with it. For now, I'll see what I can do with it but it might not last long. Other than that, there are some new pictures but most of it has stayed the same since the last submission.

Revision 2 - TOC

For my TOC, I finally figured out my colors for my article headings. At first they were a deep navy, then that transitioned into a black. Finally, I chose a dark blue that stands out against the lighter blue and is still readable. Also, the main article is in white to stand out among the other articles. I made the article headings bigger and Kevin is still my TOC picture.

Revision 1 - Cover

For my cover's revisions, I didn't do too much. I put a very slight outline to the Fleur Sombre on top to make it stick out a little more. Also, I made my article headings bigger and added the same effect to them. Overall, I am happy with my cover and I think it is nearly done with revisions before submission.

Distribution Post

For my distribution, I will make my presence felt online primarily.

I will use apps like Snapchat and Instagram much like GQ and Slam to get my links out there. All of my posts will have a link to my article and on those links will be ways to subscribe, get donations, and sell physical copies. I also plan to have my rates and subscriptions in there with my posts to remind my viewers of the deals they can get on subscriptions.

For physical copies, I will get in stores like Barnes and Noble (a popular book and magazine store) as well in grocery stores right by the checkout line. There are so many people in the country intrigued by pop culture and sports, so while they browse these magazines at the checkout line, they will appeal to many of them.

I realize that this is the age of technology and many things are digitally based, so I don;t expect to sell a majority of my copies physically. That's why I will push my online sales the hardest so I can get those subscription clicks from all the people on the internet.

Distribution Post 3 - Slam Magazine

Slam Magazine is the third magazine that emulates Fleur Sombre's style. Slam is targeted more towards younger athletes rather than adults. However, their marketing scheme is very effective. They are one of the biggest sports highlights outlets on social media forms like Instagram. They have people filming high school basketball and football games to get the highlights that their viewers want to see. All this content lets them get viewers consistently and more often. I want to keep Fleur Sombre in the mainstream as much as possible by having a steady stream of content that satisfies my audience. Where I see Slam the most is on Instagram. I follow Slam, so I see lots of content that they have to offer. A smart thing that Slam does is they have alternate accounts that appeal to more social groups. One of their alternate accounts that I follow is Slam High School. They post exclusively high school highlights and always link the main magazine to these pages.

Distribution Post 2 - Esquire

Esquire is another magazine with a similar purpose pushed to the same audience. Esquire and GQ are very similar to each other, however Esquire focuses more attention on pop culture and music. They are also prevalent on social media but one this I noticed is that on social media they have polls about issues. By leaving the choice up to the viewers, it furthers the engagement and brings the viewers back to have their decisions heard the next time an issue or post is made public. I would like to have my magazine have the same reader engagement that Esquire maintains. Oftentimes, when I respond to one of these polls, it tells me where I stand with the other people who voted and offers a link with a title such as "Do you agree. See what we had to say." I see these often on Snapchat in my recommended section they continue to be recommended as I keep clicking on them. They find ways to get to the viewer who doesn't already follow them and continues to keep their followers engaged with these polls.

Final Submission

I haven't changed anything on my cover since Quarter 3 and I'm happy with they way it ended up looking. All fonts, colors, and pic...
